Tuskee Privacy Policy
DRAFT, not yet checked by a lawyer. Effective: October 23, 2026
Tuskee is a to-do, calendar, notes and tracks app for Android, made by Timur Seliutin, an individual developer ("I", "me"). This policy says what happens to your information when you use Tuskee, in plain words.
The short version
- Tuskee has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. I do not sell or share your information for advertising.
- Without an account, everything you write stays on your phone.
- An account is optional. With one, your data is kept in the cloud so it can be on your other devices, and only your account can read it.
- You can delete your account and its cloud data at any time, in the app or by e-mail.
On your phone
Tasks, events, notes, folders, tracks, files you attach to notes, voice notes and settings are stored in Tuskee's own storage on your phone.
- Android backup. If Android's backup is on, Android may include Tuskee's database and settings in your phone's backup to your Google account. Google manages that backup. Note files and your sign-in are left out of it.
- Phone calendars. If you allow it, Tuskee reads your phone's calendars to show their events. They are read on the phone only, never copied or sent anywhere.
- Microphone. Used only while you record a voice note. The recording is saved in the note.
- Notifications. Reminders are set and shown by your phone.
- Link previews. When a note contains a link, Tuskee on your phone opens that web page once to show its title and picture. The website sees an ordinary visit from your phone (for example your IP address). Nothing passes through me.
With an account (optional)
You sign in with Google. I receive your name, e-mail address, the link to your profile picture and an account id from Google. They are kept in the app's cloud database.
Sync (Pro). Your tasks, events, notes and folders, tracks and the settings that follow your account (theme, section names, cleanup, reminder defaults, the done count) are stored in the cloud database so your devices stay in step. Database rules let only your account read or change your data. It is not end-to-end encrypted: it is encrypted in storage and in transit, and as the operator I could technically access it. I do not look at your content unless you ask me for help with it or the law requires it.
Note files (Pro). Photos, videos, voice notes and other files in your notes are stored in cloud file storage, with a record of their sizes, so they can be on your other devices. They are uploaded only while you have Pro.
Your plan. The cloud keeps which plan you have (Free, Pro, Pro+, Pro forever), its dates and how many voice transcription minutes you used this month.
Backup to your Google Drive (optional, free)
If you turn it on, Tuskee saves a backup file of your data (and note files when there is room) into a "Tuskee backups" folder in your own Google Drive, and keeps the last few. Google lets Tuskee see only the files it made there. I never receive a copy. You can open, keep or delete these files in Google Drive.
Voice transcription (Pro)
When you tap Transcribe on a voice note, the recording is sent to OpenAI to turn it into text, and the text comes back into your note. Under OpenAI's API terms, it is not used to train their models; OpenAI may keep it for up to 30 days to watch for abuse, then deletes it. Only voice notes you choose to transcribe are sent.
Purchases
Subscriptions and Pro forever are bought through Google Play, which handles payment. I never see your card or bank details. RevenueCat, a purchase service, checks purchases with Google Play and tells the app's cloud which plan your account has. It receives the purchase details (product, dates, status, country, price) and your Tuskee account id.
Who helps run Tuskee
| Service | What for | What it gets |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in, Google Play purchases, your own Drive backups | What you share with Google when using them | |
| Supabase (servers in the USA) | Accounts and the cloud database | Account details, synced data, plan |
| Cloudflare R2 | Cloud storage for note files | Your note files (Pro) |
| OpenAI | Voice transcription | Voice notes you choose to transcribe |
| RevenueCat | Checking purchases | Purchase details and your account id |
Each uses the information only to provide its service to Tuskee. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where these services operate.
How long it is kept
- While you have an account, its data is kept so the app works.
- When you delete your account, your account, synced data, note files in cloud storage and plan record are deleted. Copies in the cloud database's own backups disappear as those backups are replaced, within 7 days.
- Purchase records kept by Google Play and RevenueCat follow their own rules and the law (for example tax records).
- Backups in your Google Drive and data on your phone are yours: deleting the account does not touch them.
Your choices and rights
- See and take your data: Settings · Storage · Export makes a file with everything.
- Correct it: edit it in the app.
- Delete it: Settings · Account · Delete account, or see tuskee.pages.dev/delete-account.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California) you may have more rights, such as to ask what I hold about you or to object to a use. Write to me and I will answer within 30 days. I do not sell or share personal information as California law defines it.
Children
Tuskee is not meant for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given me information, write to me and I will delete it.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Database rules keep each account to its own rows. No secret keys are inside the app. No system is perfectly safe, but I work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date, and important changes will be shown in the app.
